Voice-to-text dictation, built for home inspectors
General-purpose voice-to-text turns speech into a paragraph. An inspection needs more than a paragraph: it needs a finding. Speak one sentence the way you would to a colleague on site — "north-side foundation, vertical crack about two millimetres, no visible infiltration, monitor" — and Domi proposes it as a structured observation: system, component, location, condition, recommendation, with the photo you just took attached. You tap to apply it, or you change it.
That difference is the whole point. Transcription saves you typing. Structuring saves you the write-up — the part that keeps inspectors working in the evening.
Dictation questions inspectors ask
Is this just voice-to-text for inspection reports?
No. Voice-to-text produces raw text you still have to split, classify and reword. Domi produces a classified finding you validate in one tap. You can still dictate free text whenever you prefer.
Does dictation work offline, in a basement or a crawlspace?
Capture does: your audio notes, photos and checklist stay on the device, and nameplate reading runs on the device too. The structuring step needs a connection and resumes on its own when the signal returns — nothing is lost. See offline mode.
Does it handle technical vocabulary and accents?
Domi is built for inspection vocabulary in French and English, including Quebec French. Every proposal is shown to you before it enters the report, so a misheard word is caught at validation rather than discovered by your client.
Can dictation write the report by itself?
