Delete your account and data
Last updated: September 22, 2026.
This page explains how to request the deletion of a DomiSpect account and the information attached to it, whether you use the web platform or the mobile app.
1. How to make the request
Write to admin@domispect.com or use our contact page, with the subject “Account deletion”. Please include:
- the e-mail address tied to the account;
- the name of the inspection company, if applicable;
- whether you want to delete your user account only, or the entire company account and its records.
We verify your identity before acting, so that no one else can have your data erased on your behalf. The request must come from the account's e-mail address, or from a person authorised to bind the company.
2. What gets deleted
Deleting a user account removes: your profile, your sign-in credentials, your preferences, your authentication tokens and your multi-factor authentication factors.
Deleting a company account removes, in addition to the above: inspection records, findings, uploaded photos and media, generated reports, client and property records, contracts and quotes, and all team member access.
3. How long it takes
We acknowledge your request promptly and complete the deletion within 30 days. Copies held in our encrypted backups then disappear as those backups rotate out normally.
4. What may be retained, and why
Some data cannot be erased on request, because the law requires us to keep it:
- Accounting and tax records (invoices, proof of payment) — kept for the period prescribed by applicable tax law.
- Signed inspection reports and contracts — where they evidence a professional commitment to a client, they may have to be kept for the period set by law or by the inspector's professional obligations.
- Security logs — kept for a limited period, solely to detect incidents.
These items are isolated, access to them is restricted, and they are destroyed or anonymised as soon as the mandatory retention period ends.
5. Data owned by the company
In DomiSpect, inspection records and client information belong to the inspection company, not to the individual inspector who entered them. If you are a team member and ask for your user account to be deleted, your access is revoked and your profile erased, but the records produced on the company's behalf remain its property. To have those records deleted, the request must come from a person authorised to bind the company.
6. Questions
For any question about this process or about how we handle your information, see our privacy policy or write to our privacy officer at admin@domispect.com.
